And then you own it, and no company can remotely delete it. (I really don't get the hype around "physical media". M8 you can burn your own disc if you want to. Or save all your games on a big SSD. Or write them on to datasettes. And then share them with your friends. Nothing's stopping you if there's no DRM. (Which physical media can have as well.))</p>

<p>When I was programming on Windows, my choice was to use Linux for non Windows development.</p>
<p>My comment on the Windows Insider Forum, was that I prefer to use the real thing.</p>

After using WSL for a while in 2023 I felt confident enough to try out a real Linux OS in a Dual Boot (Ubuntu). Six months later I dumped Windows entirely.</p>]]></content:encoded>
